Abiakah Ode is a Nigerian visual artist from Obanliku L.G.A of Cross River State who specialises in painting as a means of expression. Before studying as a fine and applied art painting major in the university, he has always enjoyed creative endeavours from a young age and as a child from a family that surrounds and cares for flowers of different species in gardens and as potted plants, he grew up to appreciate the presence of flowers in one's immediate habitat. His works are representations of momentarily moods and feelings gotten from personal experiences and his work process involves the depiction of these moments with harmonious use of colours and characteristic alterations of body parts with simplified shapes as a suggestion of the universality of some these experiences. He has a budding career that consists of a 3-month intensive internship at the Edo Global Art Foundation and an exhibition at the launch of the Ahianmwen Art Guild in Benin in the year 2021

With the aim to convey the weight of moods and feelings felt from past experiences with the use of harmonious tones and colours while painting I place focus on my biophilic and personal experiences as reference point to highlighting symbiotic and parasitic relationships between humans, human activities
